You are a Bombshell in every way Tiffany! It is vitally important to give and accept compliments...lots of them! It becomes easier as one seeks out and sees the good in people. It doesn't mean that giving lots of compliments should come across as phony...not at all...it is just that when you are looking for the good in people it is all around them!
I too stayed home with our children and we often played games where we had to say something nice about the other one! It got them into the habit of seeing good in other people even when they "didn't feel like it"!
You are right on...it is WAY more empowering to compliment women and celebrate who they are instead of tearing them down. There is a LOT of power in a compliment...not only to the receiver but the giver as well.
Thank you again for your awesome comments~I appreciate you SO much! XOXO Gigi Belmonico

It's been a long time since I've gotten that kind of compliment. Years. But then, I'm a stay at home mom. I don't get out much.

I always compliment people when I can, and I believe you are right. It's almost a better experience for me than it is for the person I'm giving the compliment to.

I think women would be far more empowered if we would stop putting each other down and judging each other, and start complimenting each other and finding the things we really enjoy about the other person. You have to celebrate the unique things in different people. It's what makes us human!

Great post Gigi. You laid that out so simply and clearly. Your words mirror that look of yours. Confident, delicious... and owning it.

Thank you Marianne!! What a great point you bring up--that we often THINK a compliment but don't SAY the compliment!! That is a great lesson for us all...when we think of something wonderful about someone, just SAY it!! Thank you again--I appreciate you so much Bombshell!! XOXO Gigi

I love this! I've always made an effort to make sincere compliments to people, because I soooo appreciate a genuine one!
There are so many times when I'll see someone and think... Oh, she changed her hair... it makes her eyes sparkle....
But it never occurs to me to say it out loud :)
Now I try very hard to listen to myself and forward my positive thoughts on! Thank you!!!
