On Being Irresistible PART II
Author: Gigi08.15.2010
Hello you fabulous Bombshell!!
I am SO excited about so many things right now I can hardly keep them from you…but for now I must. As soon as I get the details locked down, I will make my big announcement!
Have you worked on becoming more irresistible? How is that going?
Today we are going to cover some Image tips that will help you, starting TODAY, on your path to Bombshell!!
So many times in our hurry to get dressed and out the door we throw something on and forget about it, missing the treasures right in our own closet. One of the most important things I learned in my early years as an Image Consultant was to plan your outfit ahead of time. (I call them costumes~and when you think about it they really ARE costumes aren’t they?) So from now on, plan your complete look the night before, or do what I do and take some time on Sunday night to plan for the entire week. Of course there are times when something spontaneous comes up and you may to have to make some changes, but for the most part you are READY…and that makes for a very happy Bombshell!!
Now that you know about planning ahead, let’s talk about those fabulous things in your closet just waiting to be worn. Maybe you bought a gorgeous dress and never wore it or perhaps wore it several times but just didn’t feel like it had the oomph you wanted it to. Well my dear, I can help you fix that! It’s called tailoring. Tailoring you say? Yes. There is not a man wearing a suit anywhere that didn’t have something done to make his suit fit him, and yet women don’t realize the importance of tailoring. I encourage you to find a great tailor in your area…your favorite store or dry cleaners will usually have a good recommendation! A tip I give my Bombshells is to have knee length skirts “pegged”…meaning it goes out where you go out and in where you go in! An inexpensive skirt that is tailored looks more Bombshell than wearing a very expensive UNtailored skirt! Trust me on this…wearing clothes that have been made to fit YOUR body makes all the difference in the world. Which brings me to my final tip for today…
Don’t shop for a Saturday wedding on Thursday. Don’t do it girlfriend. What happens when we are under stress is that we tend to pay way more than we planned and buy something that is not absolutely perfect. And if you are buying something fabulous it will need to be tailored, and “emergency tailoring” is very very pricey! Why not make a plan to shop sales NOW for a perfect outfit for weddings? Instead of stressing out about buying something last minute, you’ll look great and have a way better time!
A quick review:
1. Plan clothing, accessories, and shoes in advance!
2. Tailor your garments to fit YOU.
3. Shop NOW for future events rather than waiting last minute.
I can’t wait to hear from you Bombshell!!
XOXO

Thanks for this, Gigi! It’s completely common sense but we as women tend to put ourselves last when it comes to getting our families ready and out the door. Planning outfits out the night before is a great help.

Kerstin you Bombshell~thank you!! You are so right~we often put our families first as we are trying to get out the door~that is why it is so important to plan our own clothing ahead~if we are dressed and feeling good then we can more easily handle the little squabbles about what our lil bitty Bombshell wants to wear!! Thank you so much for your comment Bombshell!! XOXOGigi
